In this technique, participants act out real-life situations to explore and solve existing problems, as well as to acquire new social and communication skills. Role-playing fosters the development of empathy and understanding of others, enriching awareness of one's own thoughts and feelings. Additionally, it facilitates the direct and personal expression of emotions, allowing aspects that are usually hidden in everyday life to be revealed.

After discussing ROLE PLAY, I will guide you into the world of FIVEM and GTA V. I will show you how to play best on GTA V servers, keeping in mind that each game and mode has its own customized RP rules. Through a series of articles, I will lead you to discover the RP rules and basic keywords to respect for enjoyable and pleasant gameplay.
We introduce the first fundamental concept, often forgotten by many: FAIL RP. It's essential to have fun while respecting the rules of the game, the server, the administrators, and the staff who work hard to provide you with a satisfying gaming experience. Rules are crucial to ensuring the proper functioning of the FIVEM mode. Without these rules, it would be impossible to achieve an engaging and enjoyable gaming experience within a city, portraying roles and lifestyles in the best possible way.
What does "fail rp" mean? An example of fail rp occurs when a character performs actions that are inconsistent with the RP context or forced actions that become unrealistic, meaning actions that would not occur in real life. A practical example of fail rp is represented by a car accident, followed by getting out of the vehicle and running as if nothing happened.
Power gaming is one of the most peculiar rules of the game and is a subset of what was discussed in the previous article regarding FAIL RP. It has its peculiarities, and a concrete example to better understand it is represented by the use of transportation means unsuitable for certain situations. For instance, attempting to climb a mountain with a small car instead of using an off-road vehicle or an SUV.
Another important concept is "OUT OF CHARACTER," but what does this expression mean? It helps to understand that one should not abuse OOC (Out Of Character) chat during roleplay, as it is outside the personality and lifestyle that one should portray within the server. This rule also includes the abuse of insulting another person, as insults are considered real, and it is fundamental to respect others in every server.
Another particular rule of RP is the chat mix, which prohibits the use of chat to ask for help or report during the game.
The term Permadeath refers to the complete loss of the character and their story up to that point, so their 'death' results in the disappearance of everything the character had accumulated. It is not allowed for a wiped character to return in the form of a brother or relative of the old character, nor is it possible to link the story of the new character to that of the old one.
